About Me
Hello there! I'm Humayoon, a software engineer at Amazon based in Seattle, WA. I was born and raised in Pakistan, which is also my home country.
I enjoy music, books, traveling, writing, tennis, American football, baseball and cricket. When I'm not coding, you'll find me exploring new places, diving into a good book, or playing sports with friends.
My Journey
My journey into software engineering began with a curiosity about how things work. This curiosity led me to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Dallas, where I was honored to be an Erik Jonsson Scholar and Syed Ali Rizvi Scholar.
During my time at UT Dallas, I served as President of the Pakistan Student Association (PSA), where I had the opportunity to build community and organize events that brought people together.
After completing my degree in 2021, I joined Amazon as a Software Engineer, where I've been working in the Shopping Videos organization. Here, I develop full-stack solutions that enhance the customer experience on Amazon's platform.
What I Do
At Amazon, I work as a full-stack developer, building features that millions of customers interact with daily. My work spans from backend services in Java to frontend experiences using React and Node.js.
I'm passionate about creating seamless user experiences and writing clean, maintainable code. I believe in continuous learning and staying updated with the latest technologies and best practices.
